The Something Wild Festival 2022 is moving to the coast!

We are very excited to announce that our new festival site for this year’s Something Wild weekend (July 29th to 31st) will be at the stunning coastal haven of Hope Cove in South Devon.

The festival site will provide the location for camping, parking, registration area and will also provide the fulcrum for the trail run events and the finish for all other events. It directly overlooks the idyllic small harbour of Hope Cove, just a stone’s throw away from the golden beaches of South Milton Sands, between Salcombe and Bantham.

We are up rooting from Dartmoor after six years and moving to this beautiful new location,   because we felt our previous venue had run its course. The even better news is the routes will be more spectacular (and just as challenging), it will be more suitable for families and the festival facilities will be better and much closer at hand. Oh and did we mention it’s right next to the sea? (I think we did!).

The weekend will include a night run on Friday night after the speaker’s evening, forest school, a sea swim, a trail half marathon, marathon and 50k ultra on the Saturday and a 10k/5k trail and swim run events on the Sunday, as well as a comedy night on the Saturday.

We have included the established the Rocky Horror Swim Run on Sunday’s itinerary and kept the routes the same (with the exception of finishing at the festival site).

We are in the process of updating our website but the events are now on sale. Please watch this space and join our Masterlist for news updates.
